Course of Study

The "Mechatronics and Robotics" (MMR) course of study spans three semesters and can be started in the summer semester of every academic year.

It includes the following required modules for all students in the first two semesters:

  • Higher Mathematics
  • Control Engineering
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Safety of Mechatronic Systems
  • Management for Engineers

Depending on the chosen specialization, the following modules are offered in addition:

Robotics Specialization

  • Engineering Mechanics in Robotics
  • Embedded Systems and Industrial Networks
  • Collaborative and Industrial Robotics

Autonomous Systems Specialization

  • Vehicle Engineering with Lab
  • Mobile Systems Drives
  • Modeling and Simulation of Mobile Systems
  • Autonomous Mobile Systems

Each specialization includes two labs and one seminar.

As a further specialization within mechatronics, students choose two advanced modules from a catalog of five options:

  • Machine Vision
  • Systems Engineering
  • Applied Research
  • Big Data
  • Low-Emission Drives
