Professional Perspectives

The aim of the training in the Master's programme in Computer Science is to prepare students for demanding activities in research and development. The Master's programme enables students to assume responsibility as managers in product and project management of companies as well as to start an academic career.

The development of new IT products and the implementation of IT projects at the most complex level require a degree of apprenticeship which, in addition to a sound technical education in the core IT subjects, also includes the ability to independently and scientifically/methodically well-founded analysis and design.

The technical contents offered in the Computer Science Master of the Offenburg University of Applied Sciences represent innovative information technology areas which will form the basis for product development and industrial value creation in the near future. The non-technical skills (soft skills) imparted, in particular the ability to independently analyse complex contexts and the independent, creative implementation of technical solutions are ideal prerequisites for a successful career in the field of information technology.
