KMU-innovative joint project: Data-driven real-time analysis and optimization of complex automated production processes as well as prognosis of critical tool tolerances

In manufacturing companies, a rapidly growing amount of data arises from production, measuring and control systems, quality assurance, but also from incoming goods or customer complaints.

These mass data are usually also collected or archived in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and form an important raw material from which information can be extracted, savings potentials realised and competitive advantages achieved.

The goal of the project is the development of a software and hardware architecture, which captures the often differently structured, often error- and gap-prone data acquired by sensors in the production and quality process or made available by suppliers and end customers and automatically analyzes it in real time with the help of machine learning and in particular deep learning procedures and in part exploratively with regard to product defects.
